Bellamy Young

Young began her acting career as an actor in the theatre. As Mary in The Life's original ensemble, she made her Broadway premiere in the role of Mary on Broadway in 1997. Also, she appeared off-Broadway in Stephen Sondheim's Merryly We Rolled Along (1994), as well as Randy Newman's Faust (from 1995-1996). She made her debut on television in the year 1995. She had a recurring part as the character Dr. Courtney Evans, NBC's daytime soap production Another World. The actress was on Law & Order as a guest actor in two roles in 1997 and in 1998. In 1999, she made her movie debut with a minor character in the crime-drama Black and White and later was a co-star in a number of independent films. In the early 2000s, Young began appearing as an guest on a variety of TV dramas and comedy series, like The Drew Carey Show and The X Files. Young has been featured on more than 30 TV shows between 2000 and 2011. Young was among the regular actors in Peacemakers which was a USA Network television series that began airing in 2003. After nine episodes, the series ended after a single season. Her character was featured on the Lifetime show For the People, a law-based drama. Atty. Agnes Hunt, NBC's Scrubs, as the character Dr. Grace Miller, NBC's Scrubs as Monica West (CSI: Miami, 2005-06) and ABC's Dirty Sexy Money, as Ellen Darling (the eldest in-law daughter of the Darlings) and CBS's CSI: Miami, as Monica West (assistant state attorney).
