KatePrince William and Kate Middleton first came into contact when they were of St. Andrews in 2001. Prince William was said to be attracted to Kate Middleton's transparent gown in a fashion-related event. After 2003, the two had started dating. Middleton was a roommate of Prince William in their second year at St. Andrews. Kate Middleton started to be the target of media attention around the time. It led to a myriad of individuals threatening legal actions against Kate Middleton, as well as members of her family lawyer. Unknown reasons led to Kate and William broke up in 2007. The couple was said to have split up, but rumors circulated that they came back together shortly afterwards.
