Rene Marie Russo was an American film director, actor, and supermodel. Her stunning beauty Marie can be seen in her long-lasting career as an actress and performer. She began her career as a model in the 70s, and quickly became one of the biggest figures in modeling. As early as the 1990s, she began studying theatre and acting. After that, after that, in Los Angeles and California she made her first stage appearance. The year 1987 saw Russo was the lead character Eden Kendell in the drama ABC's Sable. In her first feature film Major League two years after her debut, she played Tom Berengers romantic interest. Some critics initially doubted her abilities as an actor but her consistent performances impressed them. Her performance in Wolfgang Peersen's Outbreak was particularly admired by reviewers, since she stood tall against Dustin Hoffman or Morgan Freeman. But she admitted to not being passionate about acting. After a prolonged break and self-imposed, she returned the role in 2005. The film Thor She returned to her acting. Rose Namajunas, one of the most well-known female UFC athletes, has been a successful athlete. She began her professional career as an amateur fighter competing in various regional promotions before joining Invicta Fighting Championships and later becoming a member of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). After her entry into the UFC her name has grown into famous due to the success she has achieved both outside and inside of the octagon. Namajunas was born June 29th on the 29th of June, 1992 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian immigrants family. Rose participated in basketball and kickboxing throughout her growing as a teenager. She was just 18 when she began her professional career with Invicta Fighting Championships in which she won two bouts via submission. The fights caught the eye of Dana White who signed her to be a part of the UFC Strawweight in December of 2014 when she was only twenty-two years of age. Rose has been through highs as well as lows during her professional career however, she has always come out winning. In April, 2015 Rose was a part of the fight against Carla Esparza for the inaugural Women s Strawweight Championship at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale in which she was victorious by technical knockout less than 3 minutes into Round One - becoming not only winner of the title, but being named Fighter Of The Night along with creating history within MMA in that this bout was the first time ever that a women competed for a championship title with a major promotion organization worldwide . Namajunas kept winning additional wins, including two victories over Joanna Jedrzejczyk that earned her Performance of the Night from UFC.
